Joy In The Ordinary

 

Hello there everyone, so today in the afternoon I received a wonderful happy mail. About a month or two back my friend got a lovely stamp set from Altenew - Happy Pomegranates Stamp Set. She was generous enough to send me some blank stamped images for me to try out making cards with, right around the time for the Altenew A Year in Review Challenge 2020.

Although I fell in love with the November color pallet, no matter how much I tried, I could not work it out, so I ended up using the January 2020 Inspiration Challenge colors.

Here's the entire card:

(I kept the envelope really simple with no decoration as I was really out of energy due to being sick.)

It is really fun to explore a new area of crafting - coloring stamped images, cutting and layering! For this card I layered one stamped flower bunch slightly angled onto another one, using foam tape. 

After buying my markers which I thought I will never reach out for, I seem to be reaching out for them every time I make something with stamped images.
