My First CAS Game Entry

Hello my dear readers! Today I am really excited! I always saw my friend enter CAS card challenges and I would wonder how it felt. So, when I finally opened this blog and instagram, after finishing the setups, I came across this CAS game by AAA cards ! I was really excited, CAS ( Clean And Simple ) isn't really my cup of tea as I keep adding to my cards, and I wanted to try something new!

My first challenge was:

I thought about it for so long, couldn't come with ideas, as soon as I saw the optional twist! But even if it was optional my heart wanted to go with it!
I sat down with my supplies and thought - " Since, I can't make anything with all the colors, I'll just go with one without complicating things!"
Yellow was it.

Keeping it simple was the hardest task ever! First I cut out my base and distressed the edges with my yellow inkpad. Next, I took a white piece of paper, embossed it, and layered it onto the card using foam tape as per the sketch above shows. For the shape I chose to use my snowflake flower die, I layered 2 die cuts to create the flower and added a big stone in the middle! Then I decided to use my most used sentiment "There's always a reason to smile". I distressed the sentiment panel the same way as my card panel and popped it on using foam tape. To the corner of my card, I added 3 tiny stones to reduce the emptiness.

For The inside of my card, I embossed a yellow circle panel, placed the double layered medium snowflake flower in the middle, and punched out paper leaves to arrange around it. Then I used the word "Smile" onto a banner distressed with yellow, and placed it onto the bottom of the circle using my mini 1 mm square foam tape.

On the back of the card, I used a strip of yellow, and a cut out of my logo to finish it off. Since this is a CAS card, I decided to keep the back simple as well.

This envelope has to be one of my favorites, had to get it right within the second try! I decorated it using my mini doily die cut in white and a punched yellow flower to coordinate with the front of my card. Then I used the sentiment " To My Beautiful Friend " cut out in a banner.

Hope you liked this card of mine!
Thank you so much for your support and encouragement, it truly means alot to me!
Big thanks to AAA Cards for the challenge that encouraged me to make this card!

Love,
Foo 💜
