Hello my dear readers,
I have been a little slower at posting, since I've been busy with day to day things. But crafting has always been on my mind. My dear friend Sadia a CAS card lover inboxed me this wonderful challenge by CAS Colours & Sketches.
The challenge I'm entering was, challenge #397 - Color, to use the given colors:
I would also like to enter this card for the November Stamplorations The Stencil Challenge:
At first when my friend gave me the link, I was really hesitant to participate, because I didn't have the cardstocks of these colors, either too dark or too vibrant. But my friend was like " use color pencils " then I remembered I had acrylic paints!
So, I grabbed my paints and stencils and of course the water colour paper from my paper pad (Oh dear I struggle to use these!). Masked a section of my card and taped down my stencil, blended the colours and followed my heart. Slowly my desk was starting to fill up. Then I cut the paper down to 2/8 inch shorter than 4/6 inches. Matted it onto 4/6 lavender paper.
I had gotten this star die set recently, and something inside me was screaming - "USE THIS!". I went ahead and used it to create a shaker. I added in a ribbon at the top ( I really don't know why, just had to !).
Then it was time for the sentiment, I actually wanted to go with something related to stars, but unfortunately had no stamp with the word, so, I chose to use "To My Beautiful Friend" once again.
I then reached out for my half pearls to finish of the card front.
For the inside of the card, I used a piece of the intial front panel that I messed up. I stamped the sentiment thinking of you and layered it on top of another square piece of lavender paper. Then I used the leftover star die cut from the shaker and put a flower on top, topped it off with a white half pearl.
For the back of the card I used a strip of embossed lavender paper, I got this border embossing folder recently as well and I love these! I finished the back off with my logo printout!
I tied in the envelope with the card front by including white half pearls!
Here's the final look once again:
Hope you liked this card of mine. Thank you all for your love and support it truly means alot to me and encourages me to craft more!
Love,
Foo💜

What a great friend you have to not only lead you to our color challenge, but to also offer ideas how to use what you have - I love the outcomes. The stenciled acrylic background strip is beautiful...well done. The dangling shaker star is probably my favorite part. It is always the "I don't know why's" that create the greatest successes. Thanks so much for joining us this week at CC&S (thanks to your friend for leading you our way, as well.)
