Farewell Flipbook Order

Hello dear readers, yet another urgent order! I always end up taking them, somehow, because I don't know how to say no, when I can complete it. This order was confirmed at 1AM and to be delivered at 11AM/12PM of the same day!
The client was initially urgently looking for a big card they can sign for the farewell of her boss. However I once again, didn't have large enough paper for it. So I dug my own grave and suggested a flipbook. She agreed but I was to attach about 10 photos and leave enough space for 20 people to write short messages. With my heart in my hands, I began.

So this is the envelope, I made this at the end, it's a box style envelope to hold that wide flipbook.

The cover - I worked on it near the end, the client showed me a sample but also wanted a masculine flipbook. The sample had a butterfly flying away and in 2021 that's probably feminine. So I took a chance and went with the tuxedo look. It was a miracle that the client actually liked it!

I was very sketchy that it was gonna be finished in time, because I was constantly working but time was also like passing by really quick! So, I rushed to make the cover. However, it luckily turned out well.

This is the first fold opening view. When opened, on the right panel behind the picture lies a writing panel like that of a card (the pictures are blurred to protect privacy).

These separate panels all have blank white space at the back for messages to be written!

When you open the panel to the right, you get the complete open view of the flipbook.
Now let's see the inside of the flipbook.

This is the first inside panel. It  holds four panels, two of them have pictures have pictures attached.

Behind each panel once again there are spaces for messages to be written.

Another pocket, holding panels!!!

This one contained long panels, three of them had pictures attached along with sentiments. All of them had message spaces on the back like the earlier panels.

Finally the last part! This pocket had three message panels. All the message panels in this flipbook had a sentiment attached!

This is the back of the flipbook, I finished it with a strip of black paper across the wooden pattern.

Initially I was really worried that my client would not like it, but later she texted me to let me know everyone loved it and kept asking about it. She was really nice and recommended my page to them 💜. This made me really happy and made  my hard work pay off!

What do you think about this flipbook? Checkout the flipbook section of the blog for more! I really love making this style of flipbook, it's fairly easy and there's so many variations possible with this layout! Thank you for stopping by, have a great day!

Love,
Foo 💜
