Hello there, this is something I made back in February but forgot to share with you all. Sometimes late at night I get this urge to craft that day was no different! At that time I was inspired by Scrabook.com February inspiration board challenge and the More Than Words February mini Challenge, which was to use the word "Adore". Keeping both the challenges in mind I came up with this card.
For the colored strips you'll see in the background of the card, inside and on the envelope, I took swatches from the Scrapbook.com February inspiration board and created strips of those colors in Adobe Illustrator. I double matted my card base with lavender cardstock and pattern paper (the pattern paper layer was raised with 1mm foam tape). I then arranged the strips in the middle using 1mm square foam tapes. The window die cut was placed using foam tape too. I arranged the flowers onto the window still. The sentiment was printed too, I put on the sentiment strip raising it with foam tape as well. Finished off the front with some stones on flower and a raised tiny paper punched heart onto the sentiment strip.
For the inside of the card I adhered the strips from the back and die cut them into a heart. Then die cut out the sentiment I had printed out earlier and arranged it onto the bigger heart using foam tape ( I know I use foam tape a lot!).
For the back of the card I matted the back strip onto some lavender cardstock.
For the envelope I used the same method as I used for the inner portion of the card, then I paper punched some leaves and die cut some flowers to arrange them beside the sentiment "just for you" which was matted onto some lavender card stock.
I loved making this card because, most of the time I make cards because of some challenges or to give to a particular person. But this card was made just because I had a sudden urge to craft.
Hope you'll like this card, Have a great day ahead!
Love,
Foo 💜
