Blue Center Step Card

Hello there readers, hope everything is going good! I am back today to share with you, one of my most favorite cards  - the blue center step card.

So last time I made a new year card using the same folding technique:

This time as well I used the same template, and I followed the same measurements as indicated on the template:

The night I made this, I sat down to make three ordinary 4/6 cards. I even attempted making one but failed because I didn't feel like making it. My mind kept screaming " TRY A DIFFERENT FOLD" so I went back to Pinterest and decided to make another center step card.

I had this beautiful blue pattern from a happy mail and paper too. I randomly started out matting the template as I felt, using my strip embossed paper ( I use strip embossing folders for these). After that I went on to decorate the inside before I forgot the amazing idea I came up with!

Before matting the inside with another pattern from the happy mail, I suddenly got this idea of using the acetate panel and popping on my inside decoration on to it. Why? because it gives that fancy 3D/floating feel when you open the card.

As the rest of the card was meant to be overdone, I kept the writing panel not too simple, by adding matting of blue and snowflake flowers to the two corners.

Finally after I was done with the rest of the card, I went back out to the front ( because I was just going with the flow, had no idea what to do!). I decided to keep the pattern visible and add the sentiment ' You Matter' to the bottom of the card. I chose this sentiment because I thought of the die I ordered and was eager to use, also at that time I was having a hard time myself and needed to hear this.

Since this was a 3D card, I wanted some décor to stick out of it, that is why I used the flower vines. I layered two of the same die cuts to add strength for it to stay standing along with the rest of the card. Finally the butterfly and some bling!

As per my usual style, I kept the back simple with the embossed strip of blue and my logo!

I have to say I love the envelope I made, I used my punch board and the envelope punch board calculator from playstore to create this. Then I used leftover patterns and embossed paper! Finally tied the envelope with some blue tissue ribbon to add a soft look.

I think through this you can really tell, how much I love embossed paper and using them! I had a lot of fun making this card! Here's the video:

Hope you liked this! Thank you for all your love and support! Wishing you all a great week ahead!

Love,
Foo💜
