Happy New Year 2021

Hello dear readers, I know I'm two days late! These cards were finished on 28th however, due to busy schedule I couldn't post them on time. 2020 was a hard year for all of us I believe, starting from the sudden pandemic, the lockdowns and the mental breakdowns caused by it. We adapted to so many things we never thought we'd have to do. However, I wouldn't yet say the entire 2020 was bad for me.

This year I finally decided to open Foo the Craft-paca and craft more often, the last two months have been a blessing. Crafting and being busy with crafting has been helping me take my mind off of things that have been bringing me down all the time. I have participated it in 9+ challenges and got two 3 commissioned orders!

So, near the busy end, I was like I had to make these new year cards. But I barely had the time since I had my online course exams and an order to fulfill. I ended up pulling an all-nighter to finish making them!

Here are the front side of the four new year cards I made, I wanted to incorporate a cute cloth mask like embellishment on the front of the card. When I was done I realized I had gotten the shape wrong since, I used the shape of a surgical mask, my dad was like - "these look more like panties!". I felt so down but it was too late to start anew with these.

As you might've noticed from the inside of the card, two are vertical, two are horizontal. I messed up one of the front designs by placing the sentiment on the wrong side, so I had to make the deeper shade cards into the horizontal cards.

For the back of the cards, I kept it simple by matting the embossed paper strips onto the plain colored cardstocks.

Here are the envelopes I made, I was really happy with how they turned out, specially the sentiment seemed to fit right in!

Hope you all will have a wonderful year ahead, it may be tough but stay home and stay warm, keep crafting! Hope the situation will keep getting better this year for you all out there.

Love,
Foo💜
