DIY Desk Calender

Hello my dear readers, this week was so tight! I am sorry for updating this late. I had an exam today, worked on a flipbook for the last two days, prepared a happy mail, made a card, and dear foo is not used to being so active!

So, it was my first time attempting a DIY calender, this was for a friend's birthday gift. I really had fun experimenting. I was so excited to make it that I had forgotten to put the months. ( I didn't even notice it until my brother said " It's pretty? but where are the months? ". I went blank and later decided to add the month using brad lock system and I also added a pocket at the back where the months could be kept.

For this calender I used the Free Forest Green Digital Papers and Free winter floral farmhouse papers  from FPTFY ( I've been dying to use these since I got my eyes on them! ) and New Freebies Kit of Wooden Backgrounds from Far far hill. These digital papers are gorgeous! I collected the quotes from google, and edited the months, quotes, numbers and days onto the patterns using Adobe Illustrator.

Then to make the box I almost lost it! ( I messed up once had to scrap it ), finally I made it using kraft brown paper but the paper was so heavy that I couldn't stick the sides with glue or double sided tape! That was it, I just forgot who I am, what I hate and stapled the sides cause I was tired 😭. After that I managed to save the top decoration from the previous box and I stuck it onto the new one. As you can probably see from the first box picture, the sides (ugh!) look horrible but but but I decided to embrace that I can't always craft perfect things!

So, I guess that is it for this post today, I have two more things to post, but winter is making me so lazy!
Thank you for reading this post of mine, thank you for all your love and support, it really means alot to me!

Love,
Foo💜
