Hello my dear readers!
Hope you all are doing well, I'm a bit down still from yesterday, had a very tiring day! This card was made yesterday night I mean after 12AM on 15th 😂 and then all I had to do is take pictures and edit the logos in. In the morning I had to go out for a long stressful work (pulled an all-nighter before that), so I fell sick when I returned home. I still took the photos, tried to edit and upload (MFT had 7 hours to deadline) but I felt so weak that I fell asleep and missed the deadline to link up! Also, I have finally switched from my personal Google account to the one dedicated for my blog and social media!
Here's the sketch that inspired the card, although I couldn't link up, do check it out.
The second challenge that inspired the color scheme was STAMPlorations - December CAS Challenge, I am not sure whether black backgrounds fall into CAS category though. 😔
For the front of the card, when I first saw the sketch I knew it'd be perfect for this combination of my punches. I usually use punches very little now since I have a die cutting machine, so this time I wanted to use them as much as possible. The optional twist for the STAMPlorations challenge was red and brown, I went with Christmas tree inspired decoration.
It has become a mandatory thing now, to decorate the inside of the card as well, if I don't - I feel as if I've committed a crime! I was inspired by door wreaths. While making this card I realized I had very limited sentiment stamps, so I keep repeating these two. I guess it's time I print out a variety of sentiments to keep at hand for future cards!
Kept the back of the card simple, since I went out of my way to decorate everything! Then again if you see the envelope, I overdid it again! (my friend always says my envelope is a card itself 😂 she's also the one who let me use her precious envelope maker, can't explain how grateful I am! I hate making envelopes! On that note, I'll be placing an order for an envelope maker today!!!!! Can't wait to get it!!!).
Here's that overdone envelope!
Special thanks to STAMPlorations for the $7 prize in November, I have obtained my stamps, hopefully my 3rd entry in the CAS challenge will be using them! I loved each and every digital stamp, and had a really tough time choosing!
Hope you liked this card of mine! I am going to soon have to make another 2 cards! Blog Challenges are so fun, and keep me less depressed nowadays, I can always be this busy making cards to not care about things that'll upset me. Thank you for all the warm comments you all leave, it really motivates me to keep crafting! Stay safe, stay warm and take care!
Love,
Foo💜
