Make a Wish Card

Hey dear readers, hope you all are doing well! Today I'm back with another card, this time I decided to work with something I am afraid of - fussy cutting! So few days back, I came across this amazing bundle from thehungryjpeg.com as a weekly freebie. It was love at first sight, so I got it printed and decided to attempt fussy cutting!

I decided to work with black because the elements already had beautiful colors, only black bacground would help accentuate that. I decided to go with the sentiment "Make a Wish" in gold with black backing, which I decided to raise using foam tape to add dimension. In the beginning I only wanted to use the potion bottles but while arranging them it looked a little blank, so I decided to add in a leaf wreath! I also raised the potion bottles using foam tape!

The card still looked empty, so I decided to use one of my favourite die to fill up empty background - the net die. I added it to all four corners, in gold, to match the sentiment. I was satisfied with the output.

Finally, blings! I love putting stones on my cards, I feel like it ties in everything!

Now it is time to decorate the inside of the card! I used my mini doily die, the net die, stones, and a potion bottle to coordinate the decoration with the front one! I went with the sentiment " Happy birthday. I hope it's magical." I used foam tape to add dimension to the potion bottle and the sentiment!

Now I'll have to move on to the envelope! ( I messed it up two times, took wrong mesurements both times! It was past 1 AM and I was really sick and tired! ) I made the envelope and then decorated it, matching the colors of my elements with the card front once again!

Then I decided to go back and decorate the back of my card with white embossed paper strip and a little printout of my logo!

Here's the final look of the card and the envelope!

Hope you liked this card of mine, thank you for all your love and support! It truly means alot to me!

Love,
Foo 💜

  1. Wonderful job! Really liked how all the elements of the cards tied together. Definitely an unconventional combination, but looked amazing in the end. The green stained bottles were esp ingenious!
