Hi there everyone! A very good morning to you all. It's such a wonderful day here today, so I decided to share with you a card as bright as the day!
This was a impromptu card, so I had no previous plan as to how to make it. I usually have a pinterest board of diffferent card templates, I had referred to that since I wanted to try something different than the usual cards I make.
It was very easy to make, the base, its like two card bases - one big, one small. The small one is stuck inside the big one facing the opposite opening side, then cut off a little more than the half of the front of the big base and tuck it inside the smaller one's opening. Trust me, it sounds pretty complicated but once you see the card the idea is really easy to grasp!
Before sticking the small base on top of the big one, I matted the base with patterns and cardstock inside out. For the front panel I decided to use white embossed paper, the circle leaf wreath die cut and then I cut out two paper roses and stuck them on top. Since the roses were already dimensional, I popped on the sentiment using foam tape. The sentiment was looking too plain on the card so I gave the sides a banner like cut, and it was perfect ! ( for me at least😂).
Then I proceeded to add light pink pearls and it looked so beautiful. Now it was time to work on the main base, for this I used my mini doily die ( it's so adorable!), cut it in four to use it as the corner. I also continued to do the same inside the card as well.
For this card, there wasn't much space to decorate the inside part, so I went with a simple white doily with a little punched paper heart in the middle. At first when I began making this card, I was really hating the outcome at each step but the end result was surprisingly satisfying!
The envelope was a little hard to work on. I usually have trouble making envelopes and this required a box style envelope on top of that! Since the card was dimensional, it would not fit in a regular envelope without being distorted. I used the same pattern paper and cardstock I had used inside the card, to coordinate the envelope with the card. I cut out my favorite circle wreath again and added a little label die cut to write the name of the receiver!
Hope you loved this card of mine! Thank you for your love and support! If you are a crafter do give this template a try because I can assure you, you are going to love it!
Love,
Foo💜
